City of Buje - City of Buje
The Buja area is located in the northwestern part of the Istrian peninsula and the Republic of Croatia. In the area of 103,40 km2 there are 5,300 inhabitants. The town of Buje is situated between the Mirna and Dragon River. In the north are the hills of Upper Buje, and the southern Adriatic Sea in Kanegri and Piran Bay, or Savudrija valley.
Together with Umag, Novigrad, Oprtl, Brtonigl and Grožnjan and numerous other places and settlements the town of Buje makes Bujština.
The landscape is varied and rich. The broad band in the north is called geologists called the karst karst or the sedimentary (anticlinal) plateau of Buja. Here are frequent hillsides or valleys, covered with red earth, sometimes mixed with loose deposits.
Towards the valley Mirna terrain descends slightly towards the plain that tilts to the sea.
The landscape is enriched here with steep terraces that are planted with grape vines and olive trees.
The vicinity of the sea and the continental landscape, the diversity of the Mediterranean and the mild continental climate, the tradition of agricultural production, crafts, industry, hunting and tourism, valleys and hills, intact nature, the absence of environmental polluters, the vicinity of Pula, Rijeka, Kopra and Trieste make the area of Buje attractive area of Istrian peninsula.
The town of Buje is the administrative, judicial and school center of Buje.
Buie D'istria

Buje together with Umag, Novigrad, Brtonigla, Grožnjan and Oprtalj as well as numerous other places and settlements make up the Buje region.
I spent high school in Bujama
Nice place. It’s not overly large so it has retained the flair of old times.
