Lake Ponikve - the island of Krk, is fairly well hidden and more difficult to access for tourists. And rightly so. The lake dried up from time to time before the dam was built. In 2017, due to water needs, a study was done where an increase is predicted volume from 2,000,000 m3 to 7,000,000 m3. It is definitely a quiet corner that offers shelter to water birds and other animals, without major human disturbances. Worth a look, a real feast for the eyes. Man rests his soul in this corner.

Unfortunately we could not reach the lake. Even the navigator gave us directions that stopped at an inaccessible point. In the end we gave up. Sometimes it happens.

Nice way through the woods, comfortable to walk on. It would be even better if there was a signpost to get closer to the lake

Beautiful nature reserve with a relatively large lake, not signposted, and also not on normal roads to reach, is a very good starting position, 3H9M + G7 Muraj, Croatia, because you can park the car well and then goes the rest of the way on foot, it there is nothing offered, so really only for true lovers of nature, once around the lake is just fantastic
