Hotel Orion

We stayed one night on our way to Split and liked it and enjoyed it. We went to Split for one night but came back to the Orion in Vodice for a few more nights because Split was crowded and Vodice had people but not crowded. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to the beach, marina, old town. All places we wanted to explore as it looks beautiful specially during the summer and during the evenings. The staff was super kind, breakfast plentiful and the A/C in the room extremely important during Summer time. The price acceptable and conveniently located on the main road so we did not have to waste time, getting lost and looking for it. Overall, I would come back. It is also being renewed. We needed more days to spend in town and at beach. Thanks Orion Hotel and Staff for your hospitality while in Croatia.

Everything you need for decent stay.

I stayed with my friends at hotel Orion in Vodice. After check in we where brought to the hotel room. The first impression of the room was terrible. The room looked terrible and cheap, there was an awful smell and the bed was so hard we all had pain in our shoulders the next day. After we complained a couple of times at the reception for another room, the women at the reception promised us another room, but they constantly changed the story that all rooms were occupied. After two days staying in that room we were robbed. The robbers entered through the balcony and broke the door. The doors of the hotel are very cheaply made, it is easy to break them so your stuff can get stolen. The owner of the hotel couldn't do anything for us, he even had no cameras to protect his own property. Of course we couldn't stay there anymore and we left two days earlier. At the end when we checked out at the reception, at the same time they checked in new customers at the same room where we stayed. In the meanwhile the room was not yet cleaned and the balcony door was not even repaired. I will never give this family hotel 3 stars because of the circumstances how the hotel looks like and also of the safety of customers. A hotel with 3 stars should have a safe to put your important stuff inside, but they didn't even have clean towels for us at the end. For us the holiday ended in horror in a horror hotel.
