04.06.2019 The little church Sv. Barbara is actually one like many others on the island of Brac. If you read my reviews, you get an impression of these churches that have defied the centuries. The paths that lead to the goal are particularly special. Here, too, my beginning was Dol and the little church of Sv. Petar, which I found unlocked. Then it went up the processional path. After a while you will come to a fork that leads to Sv. Mihovil right and to Sv. Point out to Barbara on the left. The ascent should not take place without sturdy shoes and sufficient water. After a while you come to a main path that points in several directions. You have to climb an old path further and you will be rewarded with pure idyll. Likewise when you have finally reached about 500 meters above sea level. Flora and fauna are not disturbed by any background noises. At the church you have the opportunity to linger in the shade and have a snack. If you continue on the main path, you come out after about 6 kilometers downhill hiking above Lovrecina and you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the bay. Conclusion: the way was the goal, the prospects the reward.
