The Botinec settlement was created after the great flood that struck Zagreb in October 1964. The area was relocated to citizens whose homes were flooded and were the first parishioners of our parish.
Župa sv. Stjepan Earl was founded on the feast of Our Lady of St. The Rosary on October 7, 1969 The first parish priest was Leopold Tepeš. That same year, there are parishioners of the Sisters of the Queen of the World who are still present in the parish.
At the end of that same year, the parish church was ruined by the Communist authorities and merely referred to St. Barbara on December 4, 1971, was ordained with the expressive commitment of a new pastor, Rev. Joseph Frk.
The parish nowadays counts some 5,000 parishioners, most of whom live in Botinac, and smaller ones in Old Botinac and Dupaca.
The Best Charismatic Community Ever! Team to hang up.
House decorated in a church.
A place for spiritual healing, I certainly recommend.
Beautiful parish, with beautiful parishioners
