Excellent location (the GoT fort on the dock/peninsula we all know and love) and good placards in multiple languages providing excellent context and history. This place also features relics from the years 0-100, which is beyond cool. It is very hot inside, though, and unless you have the the Dubrovnik card, probably not worth it since it is so small.

While the Museum has only two smaller floors it is able to deliver a great deal of history. The interactive atation is perhaps the best source of knowledge that gives an understanding of how Dubrovnik became the power that it was. Out of all the museums I found it to be the best one

One of the best museum in the city of Dubrovnik. Lot of history and historical items to see. All great history of Dubrovnik Republic is explained in there, from the maritime trade, old shipyards to old scince from that time.

Not much to see. Few rooms with models of ships and pictures. You could find much better thing to do in Dubrovnik

This is a difficult place to locate. Although located on the Old City map the map does not indicate that the entrance is on the second level of the wall off an entrance to the wall walk tour. Signs are small and hard to spot. The ticket seller was indifferent. Fee is now 130 Kuna, no credit cards accepted, and Euros only tolerated. Had I not asked if there was more to the museum up the stairs adjacent to her desk we would have likely missed the best part of the museum. We noticed that the guided tours through the museum did not take guests up to the upper level. The vaulted ceilings of the upper level alone are worth the visit. Small but interesting it is worth a visit.
