Parish of St. Kaja, which proudly bears the name of the Croatian pope and martyr, encompasses the western part of Solin. The parish was founded in 1967 by breaking away from the former home parish of Our Lady of the Island. In the area of the parish there were two churches, Sv. Kaja, which is located next to the factory towards Kaštel Sućurac and the church of Sv. Nicholas, on a hill northwest of the ruins of a Roman amphitheater. Today, next to these two churches in St. Cay, there is a beautiful church dedicated to St. Anastasia, the martyr. Registry books have been kept since the founding of the parish in 1967. At the time of its founding, there were over 2,500 souls in the parish, and in 2001 about 4,000 inhabitants belonged to this Solin parish, while today that number rises to about 7,000 inhabitants, mostly young families. The life of the parish flourishes, thanks to the guardians of the tomb of Christ, the parish choir and the young people who enrich the life of this place in Solin with their work. Inside the parish house there is a kindergarten called St. Anastasia.

Beautifully decorated church, with many additional facilities, all praise for Reverend Nicholas, who coordinates everything so beautifully, and one feels closer to God when he hears his sharp and righteous words. I moved out of the parish eight years ago just when he came as a young priest, and immediately remembered me and the mom I gave Mass for.
