Apartment SIME

Apartment GRGEK , Lopar. We had probably the worst exeprience ever with this place. We're not picky, we're simple people, all we wanted was a clean place to sleep and to have shower. On the website was advertised that there is one room and the living room is together with the kitchen. There is no living room, only a small kitchen. We didnt care, as i said, we're not picky. It is also advertised that there is a terrace. The terrace is in fact the outside courtyard where all the guests walk. We weren't bothered. Its small but we didnt care. We came here for the beautiful island. The owner is an old lady, somehow nice, she observes your every move while you live at her house and she doesn't speak any other languages then her own. We didnt care...we were there for the island. The night came and we wanted to sleep, we went into the bathroom we were welcomed by cockroaches in the shower. Not the regular insects on the island...just the normal brown cockroaches. We wanted to sleep and we had a hard time because we sensed the smell of the matresses. The covers were clean but the matresses were horrible dirty and dusty. We tried to ignore it to get the sleep after a long day. The next day we got into the kitchen to cook some eggs...everything was dirty and it stunk. The fact that the outside grill was in front of our bedroom window and the smoke got inside that we couldn't even breath was the last straw. We went on booking and got another apartment(2bedrooms, big kitchen, big bathroom, almost new!!) at the same price in Banjol. That's 13km away from Lopar. The fact that we had to drive 10minutes everyday to the beach it didnt bother us because we had to drive from Grgek apartment too. And the streets to get from the Grgek apartment to the beach are horrors. So my recommendation is..find an apartment on booking where you can get your money back if something wrong, as for the extra 10km drive everyday... you'll do it anyway.

Housing price performance ratio decent. No luxury but no dirt. Sleep and stay at the sea sufficient.
