Attraction for those who came to Croatia to see and not just sunbathe and swim :), Ruin of a city from Roman times, maybe not as calm as in Rome, but the size of the city may surprise. to shine and see all the ruins may run out one day.
Zlatan Olić (10/24/2017)
At the beginning of the 5th century, an Episcopal center was built in Salona with the Dual Basilica, the Baptistery and the Bishop's Palace. One hundred years before, the Roman Empire was allowed to practice the Christian faith freely (Edict of Tolerance / Edict of Milan, Mediolanum / Milan, 313). A strong Christian community is developing in Salona and the city is gradually growing into a major religious center on the eastern Adriatic coast. In the 5th century, the Bishop of Salonitano became the metropolitan of the whole of Dalmatia, numerous church buildings were built, the appearance of the city changed, and the main city center was moved from the Forum to the eastern part of the city, where there is a construction complex with the Bishop's Palace.
