Fantastic experience. We rented a vintage beetle convertible for 2 days and it was really great fun. If you're only used to driving modern cars it will take a bit of getting used to but once you do it's really amazing driving around hvar island in one of them. The people were also great to deal with so couldn't recommend more highly.

Unfortunately, our experience was not as good as the others below. The car, Kia Rio, we were given for 400kn/day was over 150000 km with squeaking brakes, dirty seats and trunk and barely functioning hand brake. I did not feel safe with my kids in the car. The car was in such a bad condition that the employees apologized several times for the state of the car. When I contacted the owner for a car in better condition, he told me that all the Kia's he had was in the same condition and asked for extra money for a different model. It would be illegal to rent these cars out in other countries (and possibly in Croatia as well). Unfortunately it was the high season and we could not find a better option at the last minute. My recommendation would be to try a different company or better rent the car in Split and take the ferry with the car. You would getter a better car for cheaper and the ferry price would be worth the difference if you are staying for multiple days in Hvar.
