Port of Hvar

Maybe the best Croatian islands port

A picturesque port bustling with nautical activity. It was a pleasure to see the ancient Greek mandrago.

In genera Hvar is a nice small town with the regular castle, walls and small pedestrian streets as many other towns around. It has a good views, nice boardwalk along the coast few places to eat and have coffee which are quite touristic and with fairly high prices. We were there 1st of May, many places were still closed and there were not a lot of people. Overall nice but not a must place to visit.

Stunning Port and town. It has become a bit of a party island for early twenty-somethings with people not even trying to hide drug use. Saying that it is stunning location and is a great place to hire a small boat and take it out for the day.

This port is impressive in the summer with so many boats but it is not very safe and protected for some winds and it is interesting to see how they are leaving fast or how waves are moving them up and down.
