Note: At the airport there is only a small rental office, the actual handover and parking lot is at their rental office in Petina (village near the airport). You will get a free shuttle to Petina and back to the airport. So, I rented a small car via their website with full insurance (had a promo code for that). At the station everything went flawless, car was clean from the inside but not from the outside. Eventhough I didn‘t really like the car itself (standard Mitsubishi Space Star with lots of scratches) it was very fuel-economic and didn’t breakdown ;) .

Please note that if you are booking over rentalcars.com, you are entitled to get all of the hidden costs back if you claim them to the service you were using for the booking. The customer protection law is pretty clear - if the costs are not clearly stated to the customer, all the additional amount has to be refunded. Otherwise everyone can start the court process. Other than that, Goldcar is a pretty low with the car quality.

I was very worried after reading the negative reviews but there was no reason to be concerned. The only issue was they said the car was undamaged so I had them correct the paperwork with some scuffs, potentially avoiding some charges here so always be wary to check the car thoroughly. Deposit was returned straight away and no hidden charges. They charge €50 + fuel if you don't return the car with a full tank so make sure you do. Shuttle was a 3 minute drive and was as soon as we arrived and returned. Very quick and easy experience.

I made a reservation for a type of vehicle arriving there, I didn't have the vehicle and they pushed me a more expensive one. They also did not return the fuel tank. They are bandits !!!!

GoldCar - Worst quality service. I was given a car with almost 100 thousand km and more than 4 years of use. They charged me for insurance for 3 days 100% more than any other rental company and they still tricked me by informing me that a border fee of 29 Euros would not be necessary, as I asked at the border and they informed me that I was deceived. What impresses me is that Ryanair has on its platform a company with terrible quality of service and that deceives customers. I made and booked through Ryanair because I believed I would have some kind of support or guarantee, but it was the other way around. Poor service, rating 0 would still be a compliment to this company GoldCar
