Malacological Museum

Only on the site we realised that the museum is closed. When contacting them by phone I received the information that due to covid-19 and less tourists they remain closed throughout the season. The information should have been useful in advance, before our 3 Km walk. On the internet this information should be available.

Interesting exhibition but not very much to see. Max 15 min visit. Not very expensive at least.

An impressive collection of shells from around the world, with information on the collection and how it was amassed. Also contains small displays about local paleontological fossil finds, as well as flora and fauna of the local area. The displays would benefit greatly from some images of the wildlife that create them, and the inclusion of some basic information on the biological processes that lead to their formation would be really informative and interesting, too. Wonderful work on the collection so far, keep it up!

Cute small museum with stunning seashells from all over the world, with the building being an old Franciscan monastery being worth the price of admission alone

Lots of cool shells, and some fossils, molluscs, corrals. Nice place to visit for under an hour.
