The church of San Vicenza is now almost in the center of Vela Luka, as evidenced by the inscription on its facade in 1589 and was given to it by a member of the wealthy Ismaili family from Korčula, probably Vicko, who lived at that time. The church is small, now almost invisible in the surrounding construction. It is really a pity for Vela Luka, a significant historical monument, not surrounded by greenery and free space, which, albeit modest, gives it an environment and historical importance that it undeniably deserves. This church is also east-west oriented, raised to street level, built with large squares of relatively roughly treated stone. On the facade there are simple doors surrounded by stone jambs, the architrave is modestly profiled, right at the entrance there is a sprinkler. Above the portal integrated in the plate inscribed with the aforementioned, an inscription that reads: "1589 - sebbije - plemich Maiko - construction - from the bands - the chaplaincy - to build - Church of St - Joseph - Lucan for bogostovie - served." The façade ends with a beautiful bell tower with a single hole placed in the lower and lateral part, and with a rounded opening with a shallow profiling that extends over the entire surface, the upper part of the side decorates the scrolls. In this modest little building, this Renaissance motif looks solemn, exactly touching. The back and the slopes of the church have the same value: there is a square window. It is also worth mentioning the low stone benches located at the foot of the front and extending from both sides towards the side of the sloping walls. The two-story roof is now covered with tiles, originally probably stone slabs. The walls of the church are very thick, the single-nave interior covers a low and wide barrel vault derived from rough stone. Now the gentlemen among the stones are very pronounced - dark (concrete), which deviates from the original appearance. As the only decoration in the center of the vault, a stone rosette is set - in effect, a square stone (cube) with coarsely carved branches. The plaster is preserved only on the wall behind the altar. On the altar, a table made of large squares is a thick stone slab, simply profiled. The old altar painting has recently been restored and is located in the parish house.
