Church of St.. Mary Magdalene

Wonderful community, very welcoming.

The church was renovated a few years ago and got a new look (first the roof, then the facade), and the position on a raised hill in the heart of Oštrc, which is cleared of bushes and low vegetation, is the best welcome for all who come to Oštrc or their they continue their journey towards the top of Žumberak.

Good lookout, neighbors offer some cheese!

The Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Oštrc (Tupcina) is mentioned in the 14th century. You can see the baroque wooden altar, interesting ornaments and statues from the 17th century. The painting by Maria Magdalena was painted by Croatian painter Zlatko Šulentić (1893-1971). ). The church is visible from the main road especially now that all the trees in its vicinity have been visited. It is completely renewed and painted in orange.
