I have been traveling to Croatia since 2012, and every time I go, visiting Camea is a top priority for me. The Kacinari family makes the most exquisite jewelry, with a specialty in cameos and pearls. What I love is that when you choose one of Camea's handcrafted items, you get a one-of-a-kind piece that no one else will have or seen. Maja, the daughter, is often in the store; she is English-speaking and the creative genius behind these designs. I love speaking with Maja not only to catch up on our lives, but to hear about her latest designs and what goes into them. Her parents are often there and are always gracious and friendly. Maja also gives me great travel advice and places to visit in Zagreb on the side. :-) The jewelry quality of this family-owned business is exceptional - I have cameos made of volcanic rock, shell, and blue stone, as well as several pearl pieces. Every time I wear one of Camea's jewelry--whether to my professional day job or to a black tie gala - someone always pays a compliment and asks me about them. The jewelry I own from Camea are treasures and heirloom pieces I will enjoy forever. I definitely recommend a visit to this store - just seconds away from the main square in Zagreb - for their excellent one-on-one customer service and attention and, of course, their divine jewelry.
