Dvor Veliki Tabor

Very nice old castle situated near Kumrovec. It has a lot of history. We visited one morning on a snowy day and the view was beautiful. It is not very big and you can check everything in about two hours. Recommendations for everyone to visit.

Amazing example of an medieval castle. Opening hours are time of allowed entrance, but after an entry castle is open for visitors for one more hour! As for impressions: nicely located, well preserved castle, sadly, stripped of most furniture and exhibits I saw on previous visits... Guided tours would much improve and "spice up" the experience... What I missed on this visit is a Story about it's historical context which is quite interesting... Why it is built as it is... Love story, local rebellion, architecture etc...
