Avant car - Car rental Zagreb airport

Very easy and excellent customer service. When I had issues with other car company, I went back to Avantcar and they sorted me with another car and helped me a lot. Definitely would recommend!!

The staff was very friendly and efficient. They gave me a good price for my rental and I received a clean and almost new car.

Brand new car. Good quick service. Extra insurance was low price so took it and had no problems returning the car

Not a great experience. Getting the car was slow, spent about half an hour at the counter. Also very aggressive in trying selling the insurance policy. Compared to rental in US, where if there is a minor wear and tear type of scratch less than the size of a credit card, it wouldn’t be a problem, here they emphasized you will have to pay for every single new scratch if you don’t buy the insurance. As usual, I didn’t buy it because I’m a pretty careful driver. Low and behold, when I returned the car they tried to put me responsible for some chunking on one of the tire. I told them I didn’t abuse the tire when I had the car and it must have been there when I got the car, they initially insisted, and said that it wouldn’t be possible because tires were the most important part of the car and they always check it. Luckily, in one of the pictures I took when I got the car, it managed to show the chunking were already there. So at the end there was no unreasonable charge, however it was only because I was lucky enough to have a photo to prove. Renters beware, from my experience they are very aggressive in charging extra for damages, if you are not getting their insurance, make sure you take gazillion pictures when you take the car in case you have to dispute something.

The cleanliness of the vehicle was not bad. However, despite the fact that the car was almost new, the steering wheel was shaking at high speeds, so I had to be nervous at high speeds throughout the trip. There seemed to be a problem with tire and wheel alignment. Clerk person told me to give navigation but there was no navigation I didn't find any navigaiton in this car in the middle of traveling. It was a very ridiculous experience. I had to use my Google Maps on my phone throughout my trip, and the data fee was pretty much paid. I do not recommend this company.
