Mixed feeling. Car pickup was fast and friendly but we got a car with broken air conditioning. 35 degrees outside so was a big deal. We contacted them immedietely but they didn't give us any solution and asked to wait for next day. Next morning they still didn't have any car for a change. On the third day they asked to go to service near our place of stay and fix the AC. We did that and after it was ok but we believe it could have been dealt faster and smoother because we had to change some travel plans and make many calls to rental office.

Booked direct with Hertz over phone, had an issue with amount to be blocked on our credit card on arrival but quickly sorted by the manager who was very friendly. Good experience with staff at pick up and drop off with no delays. Car was as specified. Only thing was, unlike other experiences with Hertz, there was no offer of an upgrade, but understandable due to it being a small franchise. Recommend

Great experience with hertz at Zadar. The guy at the desk was incredibly helpful and we had no issues at all. Service was quick and no problems were encountered. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews

AVOID !!!!! Booked a car online and paid the full amount. At no time they made it clear that you needed a CREDIT card to get the vehicle. Arrived at the airport, surprisingly enough the guy knew exactly where to circle our printed reservation to tell " no not possible if you don't have a credit card we cannot do anything" told us we got to talk to hertz for refund even though he was wearing a hertz shirt himself and obviously the phone number is overtaxed. Out of the 8people waiting in lines, 4 of us ended up in the same situation. Its seems like a well plotted scam to me. The staff is not very helpful and directs you to one "local" rental that only has a £600 car available for the week. We ended up going to connitor rentals, those ones were friendly and helpful.
