Vrhovine

Vrhovine train station used to be quite popular train station as the only train station with direct train rides to Plitvice Lakes. It used to be so popular that locals still remember and recount stories of parties held at the train station with guests coming from Zagreb and Split waiting for morning transfers to the lakes. Today, Vrhovine are well connected to all major Croatian towns such as Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Zadar. It is a small place with pharmacy, grocery store, post office, hostel and biggest zipline centre in Europe, and with organized transfers and tours to nearby Plitvice Lakes.
