Crkva sv. Jeronima

Absolutely stunning. This tiny church is full of the most beautiful frescoes. Go to the local council and arrange to have the tourist rep open the church. Church was white washed during WW2 and it has taken 11 years to restore the frescoes. Also has a small statue of San Sebastian which was originally in St Peter’s Basilica, Rome. Beautiful.

It is a pity that the church is not used and you have to make an appointment

The church of St. Jerome is the jewel of our region. The church was built from 1738 to 1749. The bell towers were added in 1761, and thus have the characteristics of cathedral churches of that time. The floor plan of this Strigo church is identical to the floor plan of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. The interior is painted with Ranger frescoes.

Cozy, often heated space so it's not cold, priests quite ok.
