Quiet, nice environment. Maintained chapel. Unfortunately, the source is not flowing at this time because the water is leaking somewhere.

Great excursion destination. Nice, quiet and easily reachable by car as well.

SAINT-FOUNTAIN It is located on the southeastern border of Somberek and Palotabozsok, in the valley of the Véméndi stream 150 m from the fish pond. The spring water flows from the wall of Mary's Chapel into an aluminum pipe, which is also equipped with an overflow. Source yields range from 15 to 25 liters per minute. The Chapel of Mary or Szentkút Chapel was erected in 1892 in honor of the Lady of Sarlós. The chapel was actually built above the Holy Fountain here. The fountain's antecedent was a spring rising from under a stone. According to the locals, the miraculous spring has been used by people in the area to relieve their illness since memory. According to local tradition, in the pre-Turkish period there was a church of the old village of Bozsok. After its destruction, a stone column with the image of Mary was erected near the spring here. At that time, one of the owners of the frontier was angry at the fact that pilgrims passing by had trampled over their sown land and had put the stone pillar on a cart and brought it home. The oxen died on the way. Alternatively, the farmer took home the stones of the former church with his horses and then his family members died suddenly. After unhappily with his horses, he built a chapel out of the stones he had brought back.
