Fitting into a row of plots next to the road through the village (Fő utca), it is a simple baroque village church with a central tower and an eastern, simple area surrounded by a low stone wall. During a visit to the episcopal church in 1778, it was recorded that it was built around 1740 from an older church in honor of St. Catherine, but by that time the old building was already ruined. It contained a provisional altar and had neither an organ nor a pulpit. The former church may have been built at the time of the resettlement of the village, as evidenced by the year 1731 above the entrance and the holy water reservoir, which bears the year 1739.
