Tompa Border Crossing Station

When you cross the border into Hungarian land, you wanna get a vignette to go driving further. The only place you can get your vignette are those pavilions behind the border crossing, where the lady would instruct you "no card, 15 euros cash". That's ok, you already have a vignette, but if you check the payment receipt you gonna see it is in the local currency and moreover they have exchanged your euros at a twice cheaper rate than the average in Europe! If that is not legal corruption, how could be classified as?? Welcome to Hungary!

Terrible behaviour from customs, keeping one car for 30-40 min without any reason!

1 year later we used this border again yesterday. I and my family are very thankful for collaboration with all the policewomen , policemen and clerks. They did great job yesterday night from the city Tompa until the border. They also opened counter window at the opposite site. All you were really so generous 😉👍
