The big church of Debrecen I recommend to everyone !!

Neo-Romanesque style, eclectic building with Hungarian decoration. The deeply divided, accentuated semicircle of the main entrance is reminiscent of the Romanian style. The huge rose windows were borrowed from the Gothic style by the designer. The tympanum-like design above the side entrances and the support columns evoke ancient Greek architecture. The handle of the church forms a fish, the white ceiling is Gothic, ribbed. Opposite the main entrance is a simple wooden pulpit. The pneumatic, bag-box (wedge-blown) Angster organ, made in Pécs on the porch above the main entrance, was started on December 15, 1912. The construction work was carried out by Budapest contractors Adolf Kallós and Rudolf Koch. The stone carvings were cast by Sámuel Beck from Erdőbénye, the sculptural decorative elements by Sándor Somogyi from Debrecen, the tower clock by László Kónya, the pulpit and benches by Lajos Pavlovics from Eger. (Even two smaller bells were made, but they were taken in World War I. There were 1173 kg dis1 bells and 634 kg fis1 bells, and their re-casting is planned.)
