Such a fortune to be blessed in the sacred place of God right next to the University Main Building, the castle of knowledge. Find God in your heart then in this sacred venue. Be blessed up in heavens my friend;)

The church next to the fountain and the university building is in a beautiful location. Centrally located, easily accessible.

In addition to the main building of the University of Debrecen, handed over in 1932, the University Church was built between 1939-42 to serve as the home of the University Congregation and the Reformed Congregation of the Great Forest and to be a practice church for theological education. Its designer was József Borsos, the chief architect of Debrecen, for whom this church was the last major design. He faced many constraints, e.g. it had to be "tuned and plastered" to the German Baroque façade of the university, and was built behind the street front to save two giant oak trees from the felling. The interior of the church was decorated with Jenő Haranghy's floral, coffered ceiling and 35 stained glass windows, three of which survived the II. World War. The building lost its ecclesiastical function in the 1970s, and the university’s music library was then its computer center. The church was able to reclaim the church in late 2006, which is now home to the University Congregation.
