Hotel Botrytis

In the heart of Mád, sits this recently built, modern designed hotel. It has just a few rooms, but enlargement is coming. Helpful and friendly staff. Ideal mostly for couples and friends, but kids will also find a big playground in the basement. No warm meals are available (breakfast only) as guest are advised to visit local restaurants. The church next door has its bell play at top of the hour.

Very modern, clean, spa hotel in the heart of Mad, Not a lot of regional character in the hotel, it feels a bit sterile. But the staff was really nice, and the breakfast offering was generous and good quality. Spa facilities are very comfortable and clean. Rooms are a bit dark.

This place is a hidden diamond in countryside. Hotel itself is not so huge which makes them a place with family-atmosphere. Room rates are reasonable, whole hotel is clean and looks really modern. They are not serving lunch or dinner but they can offer great places for eating within walking distance. Breakfast variety is really good and they serve home made foods as well. For kids the hotel has a huge inside playground. For adults it has a small wellness part as well. There are many places around what you can visit (including many wineries) but you could also enjoy the great view from the huge terrace while you are tasting the wine of Mad.

Nice boutique hotel experience that feels slightly out-of-place in this small Hungarian village. Spent two nights when touring Tokaj wineries with the family (wife, early 20's son and daughter). Were given a suite on the left-side of the first floor -- two reasonable-sized bedrooms and a large living room with a kitchenette that opened onto a nice patio. There is a nice garden in the back to walk through. Our rooms came with the standard breakfast buffet with cooked eggs. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant for dinner which can be a problem. Most of the village restaurants aren't open at the beginning of the week. We were there Mon-Tues, and so dinner was a bit of a hunt. All told, a very nice hotel. I recommend it and would stay there again.

Finally a nice hotel in Mad!
