The bronze monument of the sculptor József Somogyi from 1976 can be seen in the Vörösmarty housing estate in Miskolc. The Soviet Heroic Monument was originally inaugurated in Heroes' Square, but was relocated after the regime change. The Liberation Monument depicts a robust female figure with an olive branch in her hand, on which a dove sits as a symbol of freedom.
