The earth-dancing surrounds the top of the James Hill. The earthquake itself can only be seen as a champion. From the air, the line of charges is really spectacular. Within the old embankment is the lookout tower and the ruins of the Pauline monastery. It also leads to more hiking trails. Moving further west and then up to west, the Eagle's Nest appears.

In the late Bronze Age, the people of the urn field culture established a settlement on the plateau of Jakab Hill. In its place, the largest earthen castle in the Carpathian Basin was built in the early Iron Age. The 4-6 m high ramparts, made of stone and earth, can still be seen today. The area of the large rampart is approx. 550 x 800 meters, connected to the southwest by a smaller area of 500 x 250 meters. The Jakab Hill settlement may have been the most important center of power in Southern Transdanubia, the center of early Iron Age metalworking and trade. Its population was the people of the Early Iron Age Hallstatt culture, they erected the huge ramparts of the earthen castle in the 8-7 BC. Century in. They are considered to be the ancestors of the later Pannonian and Illyrian population. Later, around 350 BC, the Celts occupied the plateau and fortified the ramparts.

It's in a beautiful location. You can only walk close to it on foot. Not wheelchair accessible. It's a long hike on foot, but it's worth it.
