We couldn't look inside. The stairs leading to it are under renovation. Simple.

The classicist Roman Catholic church was built in the 1840s. It was dedicated to the baptism of St. John the Baptist. The steeple of the church on the hill leads to a staircase with eight rest stops. The main altarpiece is semi-circular, richly decorated. Its pillars are characterized by simplicity.

The XVIII. The simple classicist church was built on the site of the 18th century church between 1840 and 1845, by Archbishop János László Pyrker of Eger. . A staircase leading to the church is divided by eight resting steps, each with six steps. The church was designed by Mihály Streimelwőger. The stone carving works were performed by masters Mihály Benkovics and Antal Ledek from Eger. the main altarpiece was painted by Ferenc Balkay and depicts St. John the Baptist. The Church of St. John the Baptist was consecrated in 1845. From now on, the day of the farewell in Szarvaskő: June 26 The sanctuary has a prominent square floor plan, which can be reached by stairs. The Biedermeier wreath on his cloak bears the inscription: "Founded by Márk Karbetsch in Eger." In 1988 the big bell cracked and had to be cast again in 1963, with the bell foundry of István Ducsák in Őrszentmiklós (Őrbottyán). His organ, a foot-blown, metal-whistled wooden organ, was given to the church in 1914. The organ was found in the XX. s. It was restored in the middle of the 19th century by the organist István Cseh, who lived in Szarvaskő but later descended.
