Nagykanizsai Inkey-kápolna

The Inkey Chapel is a tomb chapel built in Baroque style in Nagykanizsa. It was built in 1768 on behalf of Boldizsár Inkey. There was once a Calvary around the four-lobed floor plan chapel. Underneath his floor is the crypt of the Inkey family. The corpus of Christ, carved in wood and also of Baroque style, of artistic value, was erected in the György Thury Museum in Nagykanizsa, while the urn in front of it was erected in the Károlyi Garden in front of the Medgyaszay House in Nagykanizsa. In 1952, the pioneers removed the copper cladding of the dome of the chapel during their metal collecting campaign. The building was looted and destroyed several times. It was renovated in 1975 with the support of the OMF. Its condition deteriorated greatly. Not a monument to visit.
