Nagyrécsei Szent László király templom

The patron saint of the temple is King Saint Ladislaus. In 1752, Baron Inkey built a temple in honor of the Three Kings, which was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century in Neo-Romanesque style. The altarpiece was painted in 1870 by Orlay Petrich Soma in a romantic style that evokes the stunning water hanging of St. Ladislaus. The peculiarity of the picture is that the famous painter Saint László's portrait was modeled on the builder László Inkey. From 1958 to 2001, the altarpiece was owned by the Veszprém Diocesan Museum, from where it has been returned to its original location.
