Dozsa Gyorgy street synagogue

It's not that you can enter inside, but the building is amazing from outside! There's such a rich mixture of architecture in the area, and this synagogue blends in perfectly. I like that it is not in the city centre. However, according to me, it would need a bit more care.

Originally used as a synagogue, the building is now used by the Budapest Honved Fencing Hall, and the religious building continues in the formerly smaller cultural building under the religious guidance of Rabbi Peter Deutsch. Built in 1909, the synagogue has a central square, a hall and a sanctuary in the center. The central square is covered by a circular dome. Of the total 800 seats, 406 are on the ground floor and the other on the first floor. The interior walls were decorated with geometric motifs in yellow, blue, red and brown.
