The Neo-Renaissance church has retained its original form during the renovations. All the decorative elements and architectural sections of the exterior facade and the snow-whitewashed interior have survived. No attempt was made to simplify it when it was repaired. The designer and builder of the Lutheran church is unknown. Károly Sólyom, the former pastor of the congregation, writes in his book "A Lutheran congregation on the banks of the Danube": "I found a single sentence suggesting that the builder would have been a priest's child." Based on the research of Barnabás Bencze, a teacher from Paks and a local historian, the church was built on the basis of the plans of the architect Mihály Benkó. Few churches were built in the Neo-Renaissance style. The closest relative of the Paks church is in Pécs. The church on Dischka Győző street was built in 1875. Like the church in Paks, it stands in a front garden, and residential and office buildings are located symmetrically on either side of the street. The church appears as an emphatic closure of Vörösmarty Street. Although the unified image of the street is now fragmented, we still find some beautifully shaped eclectic buildings. The church is located away from the street, in a courtyard. The courtyard was originally closed off the street by two buildings, the school and the pastor’s apartment. Unfortunately, the latter was demolished. The building complex was originally built in the 18th century. arose after the fires of the late 19th century. In 1880, the Lutheran church, built in 1788 and then renovated several times and rebuilt in 1812-13, burned down. The school and pastoral home built in 1870 also became a prey to the fire. This destruction set in motion the construction of the new complex. The school was completed in 1880. Its street façade is simple, with lysene in the Doric chapter on the edges and in the center axis. Its windows are unframed. Courtyard facade with glazed pillared porch. The facade of the demolished parsonage was similarly structured.
