The foundation stone of the church was sacrificed by Lajos Shvoy, Székesfehérvár Bishop of Székesfehérvár, on November 8, 1936. He was also consecrated on November 5, 1942, on the feast of St. Imre. Tower is 42 meters tall. It has four bells: Saint Imre 672kg, Saint Stephen's 408kg, Saint László 186kg, and 67kg Merry Margaret of Árpád-home (consecrated on March 11, 1938) The largest, preserved baroque organ in the church was originally located in the Franciscan Saint Anna Church in Esztergom. It was sold in 1941 to Pusztaszabolcs. It was restored in 2002 and was thus restored to the 1777 Pažický transformation.

The Holy Name Church in Pusztabolsos was built in 1936 and was consecrated in 1942. The statue of Saint Imre (made by Györgyi Lantos) was erected in the church garden in 2018. The most valuable decoration of the church is the organ, the largest and largely original, restored baroque organ in Hungary. The organ was made at the beginning of the 1700's (originally in the St Anna Church in Esztergom), and in 1778 it was transformed by a famous highland organ builder Jan Pažický. After the modernization, it is visible in the Pažický's state.

We stopped here on a bike tour (2016). To my surprise — but especially to my disappointment — we couldn’t find a thread bench in the otherwise spacious and pleasantly green, tree-lined churchyard, so we ended up having to sit down the stairs like beggars.
