Very nice statue, with a balanced environment, good to come here and take a walk! You should take a photo here, the statue is also very beautiful! It was inaugurated on May 21, 2010 by Dr. László Botka, Mayor. ARC. Béla's 1: 1 scale equestrian statue was made by Béla Tóth, a sculptor from Csongrád, and his son, Dávid. Together with its pedestal, the work is a total of 7 meters 80 centimeters high. The statue of the ruler faces Kárász Street. The plans of the pedestal were made by the sculptor's younger brother, Tamás Tóth. The accompanying horticultural plan is the work of Péter Török from Csongrád. Based on the descriptions, we know from family descriptions that this monumental work was born in about four and a half months. As you can see in the photo, the pedestal was built on a 3.3-foot-high sloping hill. With the placement, they tried to evoke the castle of Szeged. ARC. By erecting the equestrian statue of Béla, the city of Szeged commemorated the 775th anniversary of the coronation and throne of the city-building king.

It is a must-see for tourists when they come to the city. Very accessible by a 10 minute walk from the downtown bridge, on the other side of the bridge is a huge and free P + R car park where you can leave your car while exploring the city. The city center is full of attractions that can be explored in a 1-2 hour walk. There is a map of almost every corner of the city center to see where we are, so it is almost impossible to get lost even if you are in the city for the first time.

The bronze horse sculpture is located in Széchenyi Square, in a beautiful park with flowers in front of the town hall.

Expressive beautiful sculpture. A classic creation. Although it was chased by the Tartars, it is still viewed positively in our history due to the construction of the stone castle.
