Gabonatároló verem

The grain storage piles of Tilépváralja are the largest structures made for this purpose in Hungary. It has long been believed that these piles under the castle were made for protection purposes, but research by archaeologists has found that the 16th century. It was designed for grain storage in the 16th century. Originally, barley delivered from Tard was placed in piles lined up on the side of the mountain. Visitors to the castle go to the top of the hill - along the road to the castle, they can usually see these strange medieval carved piles on the right.
