Szent József-kápolna

The Pope St. Joseph’s Chapel and Community House is the city’s youngest church, dedicated in 2005. The chapel, which can accommodate three hundred and fifty people, is the center of Catholics living in the southern part of the city. The chapel belonging to St. Anne's Parish was built on the site of the liquidated Soviet military cemetery, and its foundation stone was laid in 2003. The construction was carried out with the consent of the Archdiocese of Veszprém and the papal government, as well as donations from the faithful. Its two bells (both by Miklós Gombos) were consecrated on October 17, 2004, and the completed chapel was dedicated on October 30, 2005 by dr. Archbishop Gyula Márfi.
