Csonka Ferenc-forrás

It is located north of Kisbattyán on a short ZO sign branching off from the Z sign, after the Cherry Valley in the meadow in the shade of a group of trees. On a road marked with a green bar, a wooden sign indicates the source. The spring was built in 2006, the reservation of which was made by the Mecsek Association. . The inscription on the nameplate: Ferenc Csonka has the source under the scout lily, and below it the year 2006. Scouts regularly camp in the meadow, which is why the symbol of the scouts, the lily, is on the source's nameplate. The source subsides, but only after longer dry periods. Water flow 0-12 liters / minute. Two benches were placed next to the source. Ferenc Csonka (1924-1986) started his exemplary work with one of the most populous scout teams in Pécs. After his consecration, he became one of the most productive apostles of the Catacomb Scouting. He regularly organized scout camps. Unfortunately, he was regularly harassed in the then system, convicted for his work. In 1973, his bishop appointed him a parish priest in Kővágószőlős. The cause of his tragic death in 1986 is disputed. The consecration of the source was on October 14, 2006 in the presence of scout officer Mátyás Ivasivka and the scouts.
