Videcz-fa

The beautiful, huge oak commemorates Ferenc Videcz, a hunter-writer, named after him. Ferenc Videcz (1944-2011) was born a teacher, writer and poet in nearby Vasas. He graduated as a forest engineer, but eventually became a teacher, graduating from the Pécs Teacher Training College with a degree in Hungarian singing. He has written poems and stories for adults and children, processing his experiences since he was a child. Yet his first volume was not published until 1997 under the title "Holtomiglan"; By 2008, five more hunting-themed books and two volumes of poetry had been published. He testified with conviction that "being a hunter is a way of life."
