Bárna Kis-kő

There are hiking trails in the Kis-kő Szilaspogony administrative area, but also from Barn. I opted for the easier, barny way, which is approx. It is a 2 km walk from here. The 381 m high basalt cone used to be a castle, as evidenced by archeological data, but its history is now forgotten. The Little Stone volcano, where the tuff shroud was broken by lava. A large gas bladder was formed in the lava. This left the 12 m long, 5 m wide rock cavern. The drop-shaped, elongated cavity is a real lava cave. Again, volcanic activity began with blast-blasting and the lava reached the surface through sandy clay. From the top of the cave you have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and hills. The Little Stone has rightly become part of the Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark. I recommend this beautiful road to everyone.
