The chapel is very beautiful, but the castle next to it and the neglected square with the broken bench show a rather poor street view

The beautiful chapel was built next to the Baroque holiday home of Bishop György Klimó (today known as the Bishop's Castle). It was ordained on August 5, 1770, in honor of Our Lady of the Snow. In fact, not the parish, but the bishopric of Pécs (as well as the castle), we only have administrator rights. The chapel has an octagonal plan, a small tower rises above its entrance, and has a dome of onion covered with pottery. Klimo built it on the model of the San Andrea Quirinale in Rome. The interior is completely cassette painted mainly with non-figurative and ornamental decorations. Unfortunately, the painter's name is unknown. Its illusionistic ceiling fresco shows the influence of Antonio Galli Bibbiena (Trinitarian Church in Bratislava). The original image of the Baroque altar is lost, it is still visible in the 19th century, and it shows the Virgin Mary with the child Jesus, by Ferenc Soldatics. Occasionally there are litanies and Masses in the chapel (it is celebrated on August 5). The roof of the chapel tower burned down in 1995 due to a lightning strike, but was rebuilt. The chapel is the property of the parish. From the foreground (protected by an iron grid) you can see the chapel, in order to visit the interior you must consult the Parish Office.
