With the handover of the Danube Bridge in Szekszárd in 2003, the ferry crossing lost its raison d'être here. The ferry is decommissioned and towed ashore. The Szekszárd tugboat operated the ferry at Gerjén until 2016! Here, the port can be used to launch up to boats. The steaming of the DÖMÖS steamship to the 1951 mine was also nearby, and the victims who were swept away by the price were rescued here as well.
