Szent János Hotel

What a disappointment our stay was. Based on photos we were expecting a much better experience. The welcome wasn't great. We were told the sauna is not in use. The hotel felt deserted. The corridors were gloomy and dark, with random furniture tossed all over the place. Wall light's shade was discoloured as bulb was melting it, fire hazard was reported to reception. Room was specious but quality was lacking. Had issue with shower drain as water didn't go down quickly, so you ended up standing in a pool of water meanwhile showering. The so called fridge is a very tiny wine cooler which cannot cool down your water nor can accommodate big bottles. Asked for an iron in the room for my shirt, as it's a 4 star hotel, but there is no such service. However they can iron it (doubt at 9pm) my shirt for 5000 huf! Eye-watering!

OKish, good value for money. Expect some unprofessionality but a lot of helpfulness.

This hotel is falling down, the receptionist was really unrespectful, way too expensive for what it is... Clearly not a ****, ** at most!

The rooms are cold and the food was not fresh. We could not use the jacuzzi because it was not in service and the sauna wanted to fall apart.

Hotel staff is not polity. hotel looks more like has 2 star than he has 4 star.
