A church was built in 1777, and its surroundings are beautifully landscaped. The church dedicated to the apostles St. Peter and Paul is open to visitors during the day, that is, the church foyer is open, and the interior of the church can also be seen through the bars inside the entrance. In the park in front of the church there is also a stone cross and a so-called “cross of light”. Of the latter it is to be known that this is the cross of the glorious resurrection, the size of a hundredth of the height of Mount Golgotha in Jerusalem, 7.38 meters high. The regulation requires the cross to be set up with its 1.23-meter-long arms pointing east-west. The cross, as its name suggests, must also be illuminated. On the north-south side, white indicates resurrection, on the east-west side blue, respect for Mary. At the top of the cross, at three points, the blue, the Holy Trinity, at the bottom, and the four white lights proclaim Jesus as the connecting link between heaven and earth. Following the 1996 revelation in Grenoble, France, the first cross of light in Hungary was erected in Debrecen in 2002, and since then more than eight thousand have been established in the world, one of which can be seen in Nemesbük.
