Nice piece of history with information board of concrete parts of it. It is sad to see homeless people to use it as toilet and trash bin...

Excavations in the 1970s and 1980s resulted in the creation of a Roman ruin garden here. In the middle of the II. a typical urban road from the 16th century was discovered. The 5 m wide road covered with gneiss stones was paved with beetle back for drainage. A Roman dwelling house was excavated on the north side of the road. One of its rooms was a living room with ornate murals and underfloor heating, and a bronze workshop was found next to it. To the south of the road, remains of the north-east corner corner of the Scarbantia Forum were found. A IV. At the beginning of the 19th century, the earlier buildings were demolished and fortified walls were built in their place. A round corner tower and a smaller horseshoe-shaped wall tower can be seen from this period. On top of the 3.5-meter-wide Roman city walls, the medieval central city wall was built in 1340. A section of the inner city wall can be seen on the wall of the building south of the ruined garden. This XI. It was built on the roof of a 19th century Spanish castle. Remains of two migratory buildings made of stone and carved from wood were also found in the ruin garden.

It has an interesting insight into Roman times, but unfortunately a small slice of the local population does not consider it important to clean up.
