Rudabányai Evangélikus Templom

Evangelists of German origin (the "bulldozers") came from the Upper Ladies, mainly Dobsina, in an increasing number. Their worship was held for a long time in the mining school, until they constructed their own church from 1932 to 1934, designed by the famous architect of the age, dr. Professor Kálmán Lux. The Evangelical congregation in Rudabány has been extending rapidly since the 1960s and has not had a clergyman for a long time: once a month, the rector of Sajóháza is worshiping a handful of believers. The building of the church was getting worse, and it was threatening the destruction. However, the Rudabánya German Minority Self-Government, which was formed in 2006, considered the church's preservation and renovation as one of its main tasks.

Magical temple, unfortunately, unworthy, now extinct. The trees next to it had damaged the building for decades.

It was built between 1932-34. Its designer is Professor Dr. Kálmán Lux, the famous architect of the age. The Lord's Table is decorated with minerals from Rudabánya.

The church is in bad condition. 😟
