Szent Mihály Church

The church was built around 1220 in the Romanesque style. At the end of the 13th century, its semicircular sanctuary was converted into a square floor plan, and its style became Gothic. It was destroyed in Turkish times and was restored around 1750. At that time, a new one was built in Baroque style on the site of the old sacristy. His ship has Romanian windows, and the tympanum above his door shows the Lamb of God. Medieval elements were made visible during the 1970-71 restoration.

Unfortunately it was not open, I would look inside as well. Nice, tidy, well-groomed environment, the value of the congregation.

The Gothic extension of the sanctuary did not disrupt the uniform, characteristic Romanian building mass. In addition to the overall picture, the carvings of the animal-headed columns and Agnus Dei of the western tower-bottom, as well as the stone frame of the gate, are beautiful memorials. In my opinion, this is a national value - unfortunately its reputation does not reflect this.
