The history of the church goes back to centuries. Every stone has a story to tell. Beautiful place with catching atmosphere. There's a couple who provide information about the place, in hungarian only. Information booklet can be purchased written in foreign languages.

Worth visiting ancient historical place and friendly guardian

The most significant Romanesque monument in the Lake Balaton region is the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene of Repentance, also known as the Provincial Church in Felsőörs. The parish is located in Felsőörs, on a small hill in the middle of the village. A XIII. century walls of purple-red stone buildings, the Árpádian character has been preserved to this day, its appearance has hardly changed over the past centuries. The church building can be visited at any time of the day, but prior visit is required.

Wonderful architectural and sacred monument. The aunt at the entrance is very kind.
