The ruins were protected from total destruction in 1942, when their floors were paved. Subsequently, in 1999, the church was rebuilt with public donations, which can be seen today in its former state. Although most still refer to it as a ruin, the church is already home to Mass. The former ruined church is worth seeing only because we can get an authentic picture of what the churches of the Balaton Uplands looked like in the past.
